The Government of Bangladesh is a parliamentary democratic republic where the Prime Minister and the Cabinet under their leadership exercise all executive powers in the name of the President. According to the 1972 Constitution, the government has three main branches: the Executive Branch (Prime Minister and Cabinet), the Legislative Branch (unicameral National Parliament), and the Judicial Branch (Supreme Court and lower courts). To facilitate administration, the government is organized into various ministries, divisions, and local government structures, with the primary goal of ensuring public welfare and constitutional rights. Its official journey began in 1971 with the formation of the 'Mujibnagar Government,' and it is currently working towards transforming Bangladesh into a developed and prosperous nation through the implementation of 'Vision 2041.'
