The Women's Affairs Reform Commission report proposes ensuring equal rights for women at every level of the state and society and dismantling all discriminatory legal and institutional frameworks. The primary goal of these reforms is to establish the full civic status of women by eliminating existing legal inconsistencies in property inheritance, divorce, and guardianship. The report places special emphasis on ensuring a gender-sensitive environment in both public and private workplaces, alongside increasing the effective participation of women at policy-making levels.
Secondly, to ensure the safety of women, the report recommends modernizing the Prevention of Oppression Against Women and Children Act and taking strict legal measures to eliminate cyberbullying. To ensure economic self-reliance, proposals have been made for special loan facilities for women entrepreneurs and the introduction of the concept of paternity leave alongside maternity leave, so that the burden of family responsibilities is balanced. Fundamentally, the core vision of this report is to build an egalitarian society by ensuring the protection and self-reliance of women in practical life, not just on paper.
